Vintage Pitching Horseshoe 1 Putt Mossman

This is probably the most sought after shoe brand.  For those who might not know, Putt Mossman made the first hookless shoes with the little hooks that you see in the pictures.  He was a stunt man, world horseshoe champion, professional baseball player, wrestler and boxer.  He was quite a character, if you want to see him, there are videos of him on you tube on Johnny Carson pitching horseshoes.  My dad actually owned the motorcycle that he had a ladder welded on the back and climbed while it was moving to shoot clay pigeons.  I know he also rode through a ring of fire into water then rebuilt the motorcycle for the next weekend.  I think he was a fascinating guy, but most want his shoe for being the first with hooks, they were nicknamed cheaters.  The patent was applied for March 30,1927 and approved on October 25th.
