Description
We're going to throw a guess out there that this is from the 1960's. Dimensions are 9" tall and the base is about 4" x 6". Partially works; good for a restoration project.Condition: Good but only partially functioning. Eyes light up, but that's all it does.
We've had this for awhile. I bought it several years ago from a guy whose hobby was restoring vintage mechanical toys, and when I bought it it worked perfectly. The eyes lit up and his arms went up and down and he played the xylophone. (In fact I saw his brother who played the drums sold here on eBay a few weeks ago.) We hadn't turned him on for awhile though, and recently when we put batteries in only his eyes lit up and he wouldn't play the xylophone. We stored him without batteries, and kept him in a box in the closet so we don't know why he doesn't work now. Kind of weird. I guess the little motors inside stop working?
Oh, and he's shedding his fur, too. This thing is pretty old, but he's so cute. Hope someone wants him.
This will be shipped in a Large Flat-Rate Box, USPS Priority Mail.
Batteries aren't included in this, and we're going to slide the xylophone off of its mount in order to ship this, otherwise it won't fit in the box.
(It just slides back on.)
