apple was changed their itunes store sign in step when you want to sign in your old apple id in your ipod , ,it will ask your old apple device that  already linkied to your apple id  approve and provide a password code to enter in your new added device for finsih the sign in ..
because these ipod are old models product  the ios version still doesnt provide a way to enter the code , so you cant  sign in your old apple id in these ipods  , and you must open a new apple id  for these ipod to download song and apps or you can also download song at your computer then sync it to your ipod .
