Origin of the name
In Tang period at China,"Enjyu"symbolized high position at court. So it had thought as the wood of authority and success. In Japan, it used as amuleta for avoid evil. Gradually, it became the symbol that bring long life, saf childbirth etc. - the wood that bring happiness. "Enjyu" is put the wonderful meaning. And also it is excellent as the material.
As the highest grade material
Also, it have very beautiful grain pattern and very tough. Due to this features, it has been used to construct "Jinjya (Temple)" and make traditional handcraft. Actually, first class material. And as the special feature of wood, it will have become beautiful mellow gloss as time goes by.
