We have heard your stories  about  how kayak side tramps sag and buckles fail(both factory made and aftermarket) .  Our answer is this next  generation of side tramps. Made from UV resistant  22 oz vinyl coated polyester. This heavy fabric combined with  a sewn in aluminum tubing helps to reduce  sagging. We have eliminated  all buckles as they all tend to fail. Imagine yourself  being dumped into the Ocean because of a buckle that lets loose. Our side tramps are secured by a row of grommets laced to the rear Amas bar .The grommets  are made in the USA - Stimpson  rolled rim spurred  grommets. The lacing is 1/4 inch woven polyester. This is a good 15 year  outdoor line. Tramps  can be stored wrapped around the front cross bar. The tramp width is 28 inches . There is a strip  of webbing on each side to hold your paddle. Included also  is our front  splash shield which connects  to the to the side tramp and greatly reduces the amount of  splash from the bow.
