“Yellowstone” won’t be on Paramount Plus any time soon. Here’s how to watch Season 5’s new episodes (for free)

“Yellowstone” airs on the Paramount Network, so surely you’d think it would immediately stream on Paramount Plus after. Well, you’d be wrong.
“Yellowstone” is not available to stream on Paramount Plus at all. And it might never be on there, even after the series finishes airing on live TV.
In the beginning of November, “Yellowstone,” the biggest show on TV, made its triumphant return with the second half of season 5.
However, now that the nearly 2-year wait for a new episode has ended, there remains a pretty big lingering question: will season 5 part 2 make it to Paramount Plus? No. It won’t ever be available on the app, due to some of the most complicated streaming contracts we’ve ever seen.
That is because Paramount Network’s owners signed an agreement with NBCUniversal in early 2020 that gave the exclusive streaming rights to Peacock for the completed seasons of the show. So, surely you’d think that means that “Yellowstone” would be available the next day on the Peacock app. But it also won’t be there the next day either.
Long story short, “Yellowstone” won’t be available on Peacock or Paramount Plus any time soon. But that doesn’t mean you’re locked out of catching up on the season if you’ve already fallen behind.
So, if you’re hoping to catch up on “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2, or even want to watch earlier episodes of the series, we’ve got you covered.
Check out our “Yellowstone” ultimate streaming guide to catch up on every episode before season 5 pt. continues on Sunday, Dec 1.
Not on Paramount Plus or Peacock, unfortunately. You can watch the previous episodes (seasons 1 through 4 and part 1 of season 5) on Peacock (currently 75% off for Black Friday).
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t easy ways to catch up with “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2.
There are a handful of live TV streaming services that carry the episodes live as they air. They also offer the new episodes on-demand for a few weeks afterward, in case you weren’t around to watch when they were airing.
Each of the following services currently offers “Yellowstone” season 5 part 2 episodes to watch on demand:
Each service can also be used to record the show through their DVR functions, and they all offer a free trial if you’re looking to try them out.
While Paramount Plus does not and will not stream episodes of “Yellowstone,” you still can watch “Yellowstone”-related shows. The sole season of “1883″ is only available on Paramount Plus. There are no other places to watch it. The same is true of “1923.”
You can sign up for Paramount Plus on the streaming service’s website. Currently, Paramount Plus features two subscription plans: a “limited commercials” option for $3 per month for your first two months for Black Friday, and a premium “no commercials” option for $12 per month ($120 annually). You can try out either tier with a full 7-day free trial.
Paramount Plus will also be the home of upcoming “Yellowstone” spinoffs such as “1944,” the sequel to “1923,” and present-day spinoff “6666.”
Remember, though, that while Paramount Plus carries the “Yellowstone” spinoffs, it does not carry new or old seasons of “Yellowstone” itself.
